Nicnevin wand is dedicated to the Scottish goddess of the Unseely Fae, who rides out on the night of Samhain, Halloween. There is a reason, bear with me! I usually gather wandwood on the first Wednesday of the New Moon in the active growth season, but a friend of mine who is a big fan of the Samhain/Halloween holiday, gathered these Apple branches on Samhain eve a few years ago. The crystal is a largish shard of Peridot, attached with Silver wire. At 20 1/3 inches of slender, this wand is a bit delicate to wield while flying around in the woods, but of course that is exactly what Nicnevin would want you to do.
