Temple oil is another traditional general anointing oil, for temple workings. Made on Sundays of the Full Moon. Focus herb: Sandalwood.

Temple oil would have very similar uses to Altar oil, for anointing ritual tools, the altar and ritual participants. They are similar formulas, with Altar being potioned on the New Moon and Ritual being composed on the Full Moon. Perhaps Temple is more for High Magick, workings in a Temple space, while Altar is more for home use, but really the choice is yours. You could use Temple oil for any magickal intention if you don't have a specific oil, to anoint candles of appropriate colors, or plain white candles.

These magick oils are also called ritual oils, anointing oils or condition oils. They can be used to anoint a person, candle, mojo bag, lucky coins, jewelry, amulets, statues, prayer or spell scrolls, or anything that has a connection with the purpose of the oil or the "condition" it is made to address. Use them according to your inspiration, imagination, the instructions in a book, your Spirit Guide, teacher or Angel's recommendations, or how your Grandma taught you.
