Berring is a very unusual wand constructed of American Elm. I found just a couple of these natural Emerald crystals which seemed to ask for wand magick. Emerald crystals are long hexagonal rods with no real point, so the tip is a jagged rough break in this very sea-green Emerald chunk. Copper wire goes so well with this mineral and also contrasts with the purplish cast of the Elm. Usually I saw the wood of my wands to give sections free of blemishes and irregularities that might impede the flow of energy, but in this case the swelling at base very much wanted to be a part of the magick of this strangely beautiful wand. 18 1/3
