Babalon oil is dedicated to this most beloved goddess of Thelema. Babalon is a complicated, confusing, and fascinating figure. In some ways she is the representation of the ancient city of Babylon, in others, as the Whore of Babylon, which is an epithet referring to practically any city or potentiate, Rome, the Vatican and Jerusalem included, which is not behaving according to the orthodoxy of the accuser. Babalon the goddess of Thelema, is as many faceted, known to followers as The Gateway to the City of Pyramids, The Scarlet Woman, and as the Great Mother.

A Thelemite friend of mine described Babalon to me. "She has a face like the waters," he said, "she appears in whatever form you need her to be." (Which would also be your own face, reflected as Deity, in these waters.) This harmonizes beautifully with Babalon's elusive, changing nature, and also with her Grail Goddess nature. In the Book of Revelations of the Bible, her Grail contains the blood of all the saints. Thelemite adepts offer their blood to this Grail, as a way to become unified with all of creation. From The Cry of the 5th Aethyr: "For as thy blood is mingled in the cup of BABALON, so is thine heart the universal heart."

Babalon's name is spelled out in the Mystic Star, the seven-pointed star of Thelema. Therefore, Babalon oil contains seven ingredients, relating to Water, Blood, and Mesopotamia. Babalon is not a cheap Whore by any means, and she required an almost ridiculous amount of very expensive true Jasmine absolute. It is red in coloring (Scarlet Woman), but you, her adept and seeker, must add the seventh ingredient: a drop of your own blood, drawn while in a state of Deep Pride.

Natural Magick deity oils are made with reverence and research to be pleasing devotional blends for the gods and goddesses they are named for. I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that grew in the lands where the deity originated or rules. The Natural Magick process of using planetary and elemental influences, correspondence, and high quality ingredients is especially appropriate for honoring the gods and bringing their qualities into our lives.

Anoint yourself to attune to these deities, or pour into offering bowls or aromatherapy lamps, or anoint statues or fetish objects. I love to give them to priests or priestesses who run open circles or invoke our patron gods and goddesses.

These oils are in beautiful round 1/2 ounce bottles, blended in 100% fractionated Coconut oil, so with any care they should last a very long time. They are priced according to the ingredients requested by the gods.
